For the fifth year in a row, Daniel Boone will be hosting the popular science camp, Camp Invention. In this year’s program, Geo-Quest, students entering grades 2-6 will become investigators, engineers, and scientists. They will create inventions to solve exciting challenges and do experiments in four fun hands-on modules, all presented by teachers from Daniel Boone School District.
Students will also:
• Invent tools to explore the Earth’s geology
• Discover treasure-filled caches around the world
• Take apart old appliances to see how they work; use the pieces to build a duck-chucking device
• Investigate five extremes of the natural world: heat, height, crystals, water, and cold
